About Me

Hello, my name is Panos and I am an IT professional with a 14-year experience in IT projects, including the fields of education, real-time simulations, and Virtual Reality. I have a strong interest in XR, Virtual Production and disruptive technologies. I am also the founder of Singular Realities and the head of the VR Lab at the University of Western Macedonia in Greece. I consider myself highly organized, self-possessed, self-motivated, and determined to succeed in every project I undertake. I am observant, with strong attention to detail, and almost irritatingly methodical 🙂 . Known for my introverted character, but also friendly, easy-going, and always willing to go the extra mile regarding partnerships and business collaborations.

My workspace

My workspace consists of a wide range of hardware, including a powerful PC setup, MacBook Pros Max, iPad Pros, a couple of last-gen gaming laptops, and an MSI CreatorPro x17. For photogrammetry projects and in my free time, I fly DJI drones and shoot photos using a Canon R5. For developing XR applications I use 6 different types of VR glasses, both All-in-one and PCVR, including Varjo Aero, HTC Focus 3, HTC Vive Pro, and Meta Quest. The real showcase is the Teslasuit, a biometric suit used for mocap and training purposes. Oh, and a dog!
